Features of the Quick Action Drum Lug

a quick-release capability to make drumhead changes simpler and less time consuming.
a quick-attachment feature that is used to hold the nut on the tension rod in case further loosening of the tension rod is required in order to seat the nut.
the insert is an aircraft quality nylon insert locking nut that will maintain the tension rod torque. Thus you can tension it tight or loose and the Quick Action Drum Lug will maintain the tension. Your drum will stay in tune longer, and will not detune because of tension rods backing out of the inserts.

The Model R1 can use (2) 10-32 mounting screws or a single 10-32 mounting screw. The R1 lug using a single mounting screw is recommended for tom and bass drum applications, whereas the R1 with two mounting screws can be used on snare drums and also toms and bass drums.

We also have a model for bass drum hoops that complements the visual appearance of the R1, this is the model H1.

The lugs are available in chrome plated finish on an aluminum alloy material, and also in a raw finish for powder coating and other finish options.

The R1 is available with chrome plating, and the R1ISO is available which includes a feature for interfacing to a RIMS-style isolation mount.

The Quick Action lug is compatible with standard tension rods (typically #12 threads) and many rim styles (i.e., triple-flanged, die-cast, wood, etc.). The lug attaches to the drum shell with two attachment screws, or with a single screw and a grub screw (in a blind hole) to prevent rotation of the lug. It is also compatible with various suspension mount systems.
